Hibiscus

Hibiscus - hibiscus rosa-sinensis, hibiscus sabdariffa - the flowers, leaves and root are all used medicinally. The flowers are used to treat painful menstruation, they relax the uterine muscles, they also reduce excessive bleeding. The flowers are demulcent - phlegm loosening. The root is also used to reduce phlegm. Hibiscus cleanses the blood, improves complexion and stimulates hair growth.
